Put a smile in your face

[edit]
Hello Kasper2006, Eduemoni↑talk↓ has given you a shinning smiling star! You see, these things promote WikiLove and hopefully this has made your day better. Spread the Shinning Smiling Star whether it be someone you have had disagreements with in the past or someone putting up with some stick at this time. Enjoy!

Hello, I'm BracketBot. I have automatically detected that your edit to Yadisleidy Pedroso may have broken the syntax by modifying 1 "[]"s. If you have, don't worry, just edit the page again to fix it. If I misunderstood what happened, or if you have any questions, you can leave a message on my operator's talk page.

Wikiprojects

[edit]

Please explain this edit (and several similar ones). Why would they NOT be relevant to those projects? Lugnuts Dick Laurent is dead 09:35, 22 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Maybe you should READ the scope of the projects before removing them. From WP:ITALY - "This project aims to address the production, improvement and coordination of articles related to Italy—its geography, history, culture, languages, politics, etc., all seen in their broadest senses." So all Italian biographies would be relevant. Disagree? WT:ITALY is the place to go. Lugnuts Dick Laurent is dead 09:43, 22 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Taormina Film Fest, you added links pointing to the disambiguation pages Maria Schneider, Banderas and Franco Rossi (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Dice e impone qualcosa a tal riguardo? --Mauro Lanari (talk) 11:07, 6 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Portal peer review

Hello,

I have just closed a portal peer review that you had started because the review had went unedited for several months. As I'm sure you can tell, the portal peer review process is rather understaffed, and I apologize if you didn't get what you were looking for. If you are still interested in working with portals, either the one that you brought to PPR or another one, and are looking for advice, please don't hesitate to reach out to me personally by leaving a message on my talk page. I would be happy to help.

Proposed deletion of Australia at the team sports international competitions

The article Australia at the team sports international competitions has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Not notable and not referenced

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. A tag has been placed on Giovanni Rocca requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G6 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is an orphaned disambiguation page which either

  • disambiguates two or fewer extant Wikipedia pages and whose title ends in "(disambiguation)" (i.e., there is a primary topic); or
  • disambiguates no (zero) extant Wikipedia pages, regardless of its title.

Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such pages may be deleted at any time. Please see the disambiguation page guidelines for more information.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Invitation to the African Destubathon

[edit]

Hi. You may be interested in participating in the African Destubathon which starts on October 15. Africa currently has over 37,000 stubs and badly needs a quality improvement editathon/contest to flesh out basic stubs. There are proposed substantial prizes to give to editors who do the most articles, and planned smaller prizes for doing to most destubs for each of the 53 African countries, so should be enjoyable! So it would be a good chance to win something for improving stubs on African sportspeople, including footballers, athletes, Olympians and Paralympians etc, particularly female ones, but also male. Even if contests aren't your thing we would be grateful if you could consider destubbing a few African articles during the drive to help the cause and help reduce the massive 37,000 + stub count, of which many are rated high importance (think Regions of countries etc). If you're interested in competing or just loosely contributing a few expanded articles on African Paralympians, Olympians and committees etc, please add your name to the Contestants/participants section. Diversity of work from a lot of people will make this that bit more special. Thanks. --MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 21:13, 6 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]
